- Alumni Gather for an Exposition of the Works of Hillary Ray's ('80) FatherOn June 10, 2006 Hillary Ray's father, Bill Ray, had an exposition at the Leica Gallery in NYC, entitled 'Bill Ray - A Retrospective: Four Decades of Celebrity & Historic Photos', which was attended by several alumni. Hillary sent us a related message, below. Here is a picture of my father telling a Lycee alumni group about the story behind each picture at his exhibition at the Leica Gallery on Broadway in New York, June 2006. I really wish to thank all the alumni who attended and made for a lively and very interactive afternoon! I would also like to thank Nathalie Yates ('78) who got my father talking about how the images came to be. He is usually quite reticent and this was the first time I had ever heard about the 'the story behind the picture' for most of the photographs in the exhibition. My sisters Sabrina Ray ('85), her children Max and Oona, and Ashley Ray ('89) also attended. This was the first time I had seen Sabrina in 12 years as she lives in Bishkek in the Kyrgyz Republic. I also saw classmates that I had not seen in several decades so overall this was a very special visit. I look forward to my next visit to New York and Paris. |
