I've finished my studies, and I'm searching for a job at the moment. After a degree in philosophy, I changed fields. I studied fashion design for a year, worked with a couple of young fashion designers, then got a master in fashion management.I keep in contact with Vincent Giraud and Fabienne Bego, who are two of my closest friends; I occasionally see Séverine de la Rivière who also lives in Paris. » From Winter 2003-2004 AALFNY Newsletter ● Pauline Ladsous writes: “Reading about you all and seeing all those familiar names certainly made me extremely happy and eager to see you again. I have been through a lot of ups but mostly downs since I left the Lycée, yet it reassured me to see that I am an exception and that most of you already have a stable and fulfilling life. (Congratulations to all the young parents, married couples, young execs...) After my Bac S, I logically went to Hypokhagne, then Parsons School of Design, Universität Wien and now Glion Hotel School in Switzerland where I am doing a BBA in Hospitality Management. All this to say that it has been pretty hectic and full of changes, and that the LFNY years are some kind of paradise lost. (I can't believe I am actually saying this!) So if anyone of you feels like checking out Bulle-en-Gruyère, where I am studying, let me know and I'll arrange for fondue, schnapps and cow milking. As they say here, ‘tout de bon et à tout bientôt j'espère.’ Take good care of yourselves.” ● Emilie (Perez) Pineau-Valencienne works for Odile de S. and is an interior designer. I then went back to New York where I taught at a Montessori School for 3 years.. Spent a lot of time with toddlers then. After that, I decided to go back to school to get my Masters. I got my masters in social work from Tulane University last December. I am currently living in New Orleans and work for a state agency as a social worker working with families in need of services. I still keep in touch with Nathalie Mounier with whom I am still very good friends. We actually lived in New Orleans together for two years. I'd love to hear from my old classmates." ● Andrea Livi wrote: "I completed my master's in Historic Preservation from UVM as planned in 2002. I lived for a short while in Pennsylvania and was employed as an architectural historian there. I am currently working on my doctorate in Urban Planning and Design at the University of Maryland. I live in the Washington, D.C. suburbs with my fiancé. We got engaged recently, on our 6th anniversary." |
