-- Hope at Dawn

by Gabin Langue Tsobgny ('85)

The night is dark and soundless
and the morrow only a few hours away
People dream of escape and fulfillement,
love and happiness as the thief lurks around
looking for an easy prey.
In the night the old maid has found a husband
and the jobless employment
Hope is the glue that makes
the human journey bearable
and the human condition acceptable.
