Brunch & a MovieSunday, November 11th, 2001A small group of alumni, spouses and friends got together for an informal "Brunch & a Movie" gathering on Sunday, November 11th in Manhattan. Attended included: Stephen Allen '80, Gloria Tulliu '73, Natalie Yates '78, and Alessandra Gagliardi '86. The francophile group met for lunch in the East Village at an adorable French Bistro, Flea Market, for a lively and delicious brunch featuring traditional French delicacies. Croque Monsieur, Pain Perdu and Malfaites aux pommes were wonderful choices. Of course, we could not leave without sampling the luscious desserts! Then we were off for a pleasant walk to the Angelika Theatre, where still other alumni joined us to take in the French film, "Amélie". The charming movie received a unanimous "thumbs-up", and our group exchanged "des commentaires sur le film", before disbanding. The afternoon proved to be so enjoyable, other alumni have volunteered to plan a similar event in the coming months. Visit the Calendar section regularly for future event postings. |
