ARCHIVES: Les docteurs du Lycée Français de NY

This is the 4th in our series of articles on various categories of LFNY alumni. The first two were Les artistes du LFNY and Les auteurs du LFNY. The third was Les YouTubiens du LFNY, which gave Internet links to videos (many on YouTube) of LFNY alumni and former staff. (Click on "related links" to the right, under the pictures, to access the first three parts of this series.)

In Les docteurs du Lycée Français de NY, we give a list, and bios and photos where available, of all the LFNY alumni who, to our knowledge, are or were docteurs in various fields of medical science (using the French definition of the term docteur). In the future, our next series will be on Performing Artists of the LFNY. After that, we'll probably run out of ideas!

We present this series in two parts (preceded by a bit of trivia). First, a listing of all docteurs by specialty (for MD's) or by profession (for others), and then a listing by class year of the same people. For purposes of this article, we include alumni who are docteurs in the health care field. While most of those listed are MD's, we also include DVM's, DDS's, PhD's in Psychology, Nutrition, Biology, etc.

NOTE: If we have incorrectly listed your specialty, profession, or other information, or if you are not listed here but would like to be, please write to us at: AALFNY@gmail.com

I have worked as a chiropractor since 1992 and came/moved to Holland in 1999. I grew up speaking French (was raised in the French language). My mother is from Switzerland, my father from France. In my youth, I lived in the US for a while. It was there that I was introduced to chiropractic. I was always impressed by how my father felt better after each treatment. After five years in the French Navy, I was searching for something more "humane" and began studying chiropractic. In the world of/field of chiropractic, there exist many different methods, wherein each chiropractor is unique in his/her treatment. My approach with what I learned is to only use what I feel will be the most effective. I am proud of the results which after 20 years still continue to develop/grow."
